Worm Gear Motors

Worm Gear Motors - a new combination between the known high-quality standard worm gears with hollow shaft and robust three phase asynchronous motors.

The following are typical features of our worm gear motors:

  • 6 Sizes: centre distance 40, 50, 63, 80, 100 and 125
  • 10 ratios: 6,75; 9; 12; 14; 19; 29; 39; 52; 62 und 82:1
  • Load capacity: 0,12 bis 11 kW
  • 2, 4, 6 and 8-pole three-phase motors,
    with and without brake

The fully machined light metal housing provided with 28 mounting and threaded holes ensures installation in any position desired; flange mounting is also available. In addition to the motors listed in the power-output speed-outline pole-changing or harzadous-proof duty type A.C. motors with/without brake and 2. motor shaft are also available.

We have chosen DlN-standards 3975/76 as far as center dis-tances, transmission ratios and gearings are concerned. Ground, right-hand worms, together with worm wheels made of special worm bronze and the envisaged oil-quenched lubrication, result in good efficiency, smooth running capacities in both directions of rotation and a long service life. The extensively ribbed light-metal housing is designed for rapid re-moval of heat. The built-in deep groove ball bearings and angular ball bearings or taper roller bearings are supplied with sufficient grease to last for their service life and sealed in such a way that ingress of dirt is prevented in every installation position, both from the outside as well as from the gear inside.

Standard synthetic gear oil, which must not be mixed with mineral oil, is used for lubrication. Under normal operating conditions the gear unit is maintenance-free. If, however, the gear unit is continuously operated under loads within the upper range of the rated capacities, we recommed an oil change every two years.

As synthetic gear lubricant we recommend Klübersynth GH 6-220, order code 65 90 010 (1 litre)
