ATLANTA Synchronous Timing Belt Drives for the realization of positive, synchronous power transmission.
Overview ATLANTA Synchronous Timing Belt Drives program:
The increased transmission capacitiy of the HTD® timing belt results from the specially curved shape of the tooth. Due to the more favourable distribution of the forces this shape allows a higher permissible loading of the engaged teeth. The accurate shape and pitch of the polychloroprene teeth ensure pitch-true meshing with the pulley. The tensile member consists of spirally wound endless glassfibre cords. This ensures a great tensile strength, longitudinal stability and flexibility. A durable and supple backing of high-grade, wear-resistant polychloroprene envelops the tensile member. This material protects the timing belt against soiling and wear.
The accurate meshing of the T and AT belt teeth with the teeth of the input and output pulleys ensures positive synchronous power transmission. Slag and the resulting speed variations are excluded and a constant angular velocity is guaranteed. In conjunction with the AT profiles it is possible to reach optimal positioning and reserving accuracies. The tensile member is formed by spirally wound endless steel cords. High tensile strength, good flexibility and little elongation are characteristic features of these timing belts. A durable and elastic backing of high-grade polyurethane envelops the tensile member and protects it against adverse influences from outside. The use of an extremely abrasion-resistant polyurethane compound makes these timing belts suitable not only for their conventional applications, but also for clean-room applications and applications in the medical and food industries.
