Chain Drives

ATLANTA chain drives - traditionally an extensive catalogue program of driving elements for chain drives.

Overview ATLANTA chain drives program:

  • Sprocket wheels for single and multiple chains, with one-side hub, material:  heat-treatable steel C45 W.St.Nr. 1.0503, strength 600-700 N/mm²
  • Solid plate wheels for single and multiple chains
    material: sheet, strength 500-600 N/mm²
  • Pitch: 6mm to 1 1/2"
  • Sprocket wheels for clamping bushes (System Taper-Lock® and Vecobloc®) pitch 3/8 x 7/32 to 1" x 17,02 mm
  • Precision Roller Chins, pitch 4x2,7 to 1 1/2 x 1"
    acc. to DIN 8180/8187
  • Chain tensioners and chain tensioners wheels wich special ball bearings and eccentric tensioning ring
  • Slide rails, tension roller, mounting hubs for sprocket wheels, etc.

Chain drives are in machines and plant widely used, because they can transfer much larger forces as opposed to other transmission systems.

Chain drives reach a satisfactory service life only if the chain sprocket wheels are in proper alignment, sufficient lubrication is ensured, a possibility for retensioning the chains to compensate for elongation occurring during operation is provided for, and if vibrations of the tight and slack length or torsional vibrations of the entire drive are eliminated.

Chains are delivered corrosion-protected only. An initial lubrication is required before putting them into operation. For the lubrication of chain drives we recommend to use our sliding brush together with our automatic lubrication system.
